All products sold by Alera Research are supplied solely for in vitro laboratory research. They are not for human or animal use of any kind and have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA or any other regulator. By ordering, you confirm that you are a qualified researcher, accept full responsibility for safe and lawful handling, and agree to the terms below.

Research-Use-Only Policy

1. Intended Use

Every product we sell is a research chemical or reference material supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research and development. Each product is labeled "For Research Use Only. Not for human or animal use." and must be used only as labeled.

Products are not intended, formulated, labeled, or sold for:

• human or animal consumption, injection, topical application, or any other form of administration;
• therapeutic, diagnostic, prophylactic, cosmetic, or clinical use of any kind;
• use as a drug, dietary supplement, food, food additive, cosmetic, medical device, or household chemical;
• veterinary use; or
• any use prohibited by applicable law.

No product has been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other regulatory authority for safety or efficacy for any use. We make no claim that any product is safe or effective for any purpose other than laboratory research.

2. No Medical Advice

Nothing on this website is medical, health, or veterinary advice. Product names, descriptions, molecular data, and any cited literature are provided only to help qualified researchers identify compounds and design experiments. They are not recommendations or instructions for use in humans or animals.

We do not provide, and will not respond to requests for, information about dosing, administration, or effects in humans or animals. Such requests may lead to an order being cancelled under Section 4.

3. Buyer Qualifications and Representations

By creating an account, placing an order, or accepting delivery, you represent and warrant that:

1. You are at least 21 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
2. You are a qualified researcher, or are purchasing on behalf of a laboratory, academic institution, or company engaged in legitimate scientific research.
3. You have the technical training, experience, facilities, and personal protective equipment required to safely receive, store, handle, and dispose of research chemicals.
4. You have reviewed, or will review before use, the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each product.
5. You will use the products only for in vitro laboratory research and will not administer them to, or use them in or on, any human or animal.
6. You will not resell, transfer, or distribute the products to anyone for any use prohibited by this Policy, and any permitted transfer will carry these same restrictions.
7. You will comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, including those governing import and export, controlled substances, chemical handling, and waste disposal. If you order from outside the United States, you are responsible for confirming that the product may be lawfully imported into your country.
8. All information you provide to us, including your name, address, and any institutional affiliation, is accurate and complete.

These representations are a material condition of every sale and continue to apply after delivery.

4. Verification and Right to Refuse

We may, at our sole discretion and at any time, ask you to verify your research purpose or affiliation, limit order quantities, refuse or cancel an order, or suspend or close your account. We will do so if we have reason to believe a product may be used for any purpose other than legitimate laboratory research, or if anything in an order, message, or review suggests intended use in humans or animals.

Cancelled orders are refunded in accordance with our Refund Policy. We may report suspected unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.

5. Hazards and Assumption of Risk

Research chemicals can be hazardous, and the properties of many compounds are not fully characterized. You acknowledge these hazards and assume all risk and responsibility for the receipt, storage, handling, use, and disposal of every product you order, including compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Products must be opened and handled only by trained personnel, in a suitable laboratory, with appropriate protective equipment. We are not responsible for degradation caused by storage or handling after delivery.

6. Warranty Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Your sole remedy for a non-conforming product is replacement or a refund of the purchase price, at our option, if you notify us within 30 days of delivery.

EXCEPT AS STATED ABOVE, ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALERA RESEARCH AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, REGULATORY ACTION, LOSS, OR EXPENSE, WHETHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE, ARISING FROM THE PURCHASE, HANDLING, USE, MISUSE, OR DISPOSAL OF ANY PRODUCT, INCLUDING ANY USE CONTRARY TO THIS POLICY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alera Research and its owners, officers, employees, agents, and suppliers from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to:

• any breach of this Policy or of a representation made in it;
• any use of a product other than in vitro laboratory research, whether by you or by anyone who obtains the product from you; or
• your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

This obligation survives delivery, completion of the sale, and any closure of your account.

8. Acceptance and General Terms

This Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale and is governed by the same governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions. You accept it by ticking the acknowledgment box at checkout, and again each time you create an account, place an order, or accept delivery. If you do not agree, do not purchase from this website.

We may update this Policy at any time. The version in effect when you place an order governs that order, and we keep a record of the version accepted with each order. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the Policy remains in effect.
